Privacy policy
This document describes the rules for collecting and storing readers’ data. I strive to collect as little data as possible while ensuring the proper functioning of the service. Detailed information can be found below.
To begin with, I am glad you have visited my website, mateuszjablonski.com, and that you care about the way I process your personal data. Below you will find the purposes, legal bases, and data retention periods indicated separately for each processing purpose.
First, I want to emphasize that your data is safe with me. I ensure the confidentiality of all data you provide, protect it from unauthorized access, and apply appropriate security and data protection measures required under applicable data protection laws.
General Information
The controller of your personal data is Woodpecker Sp. z o.o. If you have any questions regarding this privacy policy, you can contact us at any time by sending an email to: mail@mateuszjablonski.com
The GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data) grants you the following rights:
right of access to your data and to obtain a copy of it,
right to rectification of your data,
right to erasure (if you believe we have no basis to process your data, you may request that we delete it),
right to restrict processing (you may request that we restrict processing solely to storage or actions agreed with you),
right to object to processing (you may object to processing based on legitimate interests; you should indicate a particular situation that, in your view, justifies cessation of processing. We will stop processing your data for these purposes unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights or that the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims),
right to data portability (you may receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, request that we transmit it directly to another entity),
right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (if you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may file a complaint to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office or another relevant supervisory authority).
The rules concerning the above rights are set out in Articles 16–21 GDPR. You may also contact us to request information about the data we hold about you or the purposes for which it is processed. Simply email us at mail@mateuszjablonski.com
Your personal data may be processed by third-party entities whose services we use. These entities may have access to your data if the services they provide involve or may involve the processing of personal data within the necessary scope. This particularly includes hosting providers, email service providers, technical support providers, law firms, marketing service providers, accounting offices, cloud software providers, and similar suppliers. Your data remains secure and is processed only to the extent necessary. In addition, where required by law, your personal data may be disclosed to authorities or institutions authorized to access it, such as law enforcement agencies, security services, courts, prosecutors, and tax authorities for tax-accounting purposes.
We may transfer your personal data to third countries when using tools that store data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (in particular, the USA). Providers of such tools ensure an adequate level of data protection through mechanisms recognized by the GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses. This applies to services offered by Google (described in this privacy policy), provided by Google Ireland Limited, and the Mailchimp mailing system provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC.
We use tools that may perform certain actions based on information collected through tracking mechanisms (profiling and behavioral advertising). However, these activities do not materially affect you, as they do not differentiate your situation as a customer nor influence the terms of any contract you might enter into with us.
We provide the option to post comments on our website. Comments are stored within the Contentful CMS. Within Contentful, we do not have access to your personal data except for the nickname and email address you provide when submitting a comment. The avatar displayed based on your email address is provided by the Gravatar service. The provider of Gravatar is an independent controller of your personal data processed within the Gravatar system. Use of Gravatar is subject to its own terms and conditions, which you accept as a user.
